Reality continues to ruin my life!

Annabel Lee

It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of ANNABEL LEE; And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me. I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea; But we loved with a love that was more than love- I and my Annabel Lee; With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven Coveted her and me. And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling My beautiful Annabel Lee; So that her highborn kinsman came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulchre In this kingdom by the sea. The angels, not half so happy in heaven, Went envying her and me- Yes!- that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee. But our love it was stronger by far than the love Of those who were older than we- Of many far wiser than we- And neit

Untimely events shape the outcome of many circumstances. These events can alter the setting of any entity. The constant splatter of raindrops seemed as an intruder in the otherwise quite graveyard. The shower seemed to challenge the stillness of the graveyard with its thunder and lighting. These events however made no difference to the lone man standing by the freshly marked grave. The grave served as nothing more than a door unlocking the innocent dreams of the past.......... The shrieks of joy served to create an electrifying atmosphere in the playground. This joyous kingdom of innocence is probably the only place where celebration of life never ceased. Waqar trudged along the muddy path towards the playground. Following him Aaliya walked hurriedly to keep pace with him. On reaching the playground Waqar searched for his closest buddy, Padma. Padma on seeing them, rushed to join her buddies. The trio basically inseparable joined the other children in the game of hide and seek. A bolt

To all my friends.........

I know a great number of people who have stood by me, believe in me and have really loved me. I would really say that I have been blessed that I have them. This lucky star which hovers above me however is not present always and hence I also have had my share of bad experiences… but I would like to mention about a few who have really made a difference to me in my life….(that is if they read this because all of them think I ramble a lot of senseless things) I know many would have guessed the whole lot by now…… There have been so many joyful times which I cant even start to tell because the space would just not be enough….. I mean be it college life, bunking classes, movies, trips or whatever every situation made a great deal of difference to me. I can very honestly say that there is not a single experience that I can name without an instance where we guys goofed up and yet miraculously managed to save our face…… All has not been a joyride and there are many whom I miss today…. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

This title quote by Thomas A. Edison is what I would say is the right mantra for life. Reviewing what I write on this blog....I find many times my writing seems very negative and abstract. I am posting this to remind myself (as well as anyone else) that there is always hope no matter how many times we hit failure in life ............. Socrates was called, "An immoral corrupter of youth." Beethoven handled the violin awkwardly and preferred playing his own compositions instead of improving his technique. His teacher called him hopeless as a composer. Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor for lack of ideas. Walt Disney also went bankrupt several times before he built Disneyland. Thomas Edison's teachers said he was too stupid to learn anything. Albert Einstein did not speak until he was four years old and didn't read until he was seven. His teacher described him as "mentally slow, unsociable and adrift forever in his foolish dreams." He was expelled and

Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.

For all movie buffs this statement is no stranger…….. And for those of you who are not it’s the tagline of the movie “The Shawshank Redemption.” The movie is among the best I have ever watched and actually something which keeps popping up hours after its credits roll up….. Moreover the movie speaks of an ideology which is very simple yet powerful…. Many of us fail to see or realize that we are captives of our own fears; we often search for things which are not there. We as humans always tend to look up those things and maybe unconsciously we do look up fear the same way and imagine or seek to find things which are actually not there. I mean who amongst us sees things for what they really are; but we do go looking for things which are not there. Hmmm there is actually no immediate remedy present for this but all we can do is simply hope we grow out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
